About

I’m Lillian, a knitwear designer, maker, photographer, and nature lover, working from my home studio here in the Southern Uplands of Scotland.

My creativity comes out of me in many forms and is inspired by the subtleties of the natural world - the turning of the seasons, the sound of wind through long grass, the effortless glide of a bird, and light glittering off the river. I am most at home when outside, happiest on an open moor or in the hills. From growing up in rural Scotland and learning to knit at a young age, I found the same connection to making that has been felt all throughout human history, using the natural fibres that come from the Earth.

My knitwear business began in 2019, during my time at university, where I started selling my pieces to fuel my creative passion. Since then, my dreams have grown into the collection of designs you can see here on my website. Every piece is handmade from scratch using 100% Scottish Shetland wool. I love to embroider on knitting, bringing animals to life in knit, with many of my designs inspired by the creatures we share the world with. My hope is to make knitwear that is returned to time and time again - to create pieces that hold a permanent place in a wardrobe for design, quality, and practicality, and encourage others to find a connection to the environment by wearing wool.

I share more of my designs, photography, and snippets of my studio work and life on Instagram, and send out a Newsletter when my orders are opening. Thank you for being a part, it means the world to me to be able to share the things I make, my gratitude truly has no end!
